Happy Birthday Bev!!

On Saturday we went to our sweet friend, Beverly's, 30th birthday party! We had so much fun helping her celebrate. We also got to see and visit with several other dear friends! It was such a treat to have Gigi and Snoopy in town for the party too. Of course, when there is a party involved Olivia is on board and in her element. She went 90 to nothing the entire time playing with their cute, little dog and enjoying all the love from family and friends. The second we got her in the car she crashed!

We finished off the day by cheering on Alabama in their exciting victory over Georgia. What a fun day!

Friday Night Football...

Friday night we joined our friends Geni and Greg at the Hoover Homecoming Football Game. We weren't sure how long Olivia would last however, we didn't leave until a few minutes before the game was over. She loved eating peanuts with her dad and was completely entertained by all the people watching, as was I. =) Rush and I left a little nervous at the thought of Olivia going to homecoming after seeing some of the dresses that were chosen to wear. We are definitely trying to enjoy and savor these sweet, innocent years!!!

Footballs and Puppy Dogs

Rush bought Olivia a football to play with on Friday. She was so excited to play with it when she got up from her nap. She hasn't quite mastered the "down, set, hut" but she loves throwing it with her dad in the back yard.

While we were outside playing we decided to get the dogs out to play. Of course, Olivia absolutely loved their company! Tucker is just the right size for her and seems to love her attention. In fact, she has just learned to say "goggy". (Instead of "doggy") I think she would be in heaven if we could train him to be an inside dog to be her playmate. However, I'm not sure Tucker would quite appreciate his tail being pulled and patted all day. The love she has to offer him is still a bit rough.

Happy Birthday Sayjay!

We had so much fun celebrating Sayjay's birthday this week. We went out to eat Thursday night and ate yummy cupcakes on Friday! What a joy it is to celebrate another year of such a special ladies life! We cherish who she is as a grandmother, mother, and mother in law! We are honored to have you as a part of our lives! Thank you for the blessing you are to us Sayjay!

A Fun and Eventful Weekend with the Uncles

Our weekend was off to a crazy start when Olivia and I attempted to join Maury and Lily at the zoo on Friday. We were there a total of maybe 30 minutes before Olivia, bless her heart, began to scream hysterically and cry uncontrollably. Due to the fact that I couldn't soothe her and I had never seen her this way before I decided we had better go and get to the doctor. Thankfully, it was just a minor medical emergency and she was okay by that afternoon after a loong nap! I got one picture of the 3 girls just as the crying was about to begin. Oh well, we'll join you next time girls!!

Friday night Uncle Michael and Uncle Joey came to town for a visit. We met them Saturday morning for a bike ride at Oak Mtn. Olivia enjoyed every minute of the beautiful weather!

After a quick nap and a yummy lunch from Chick fil A we went to celebrate our sweet friend Daniel's, 1st birthday. Happy Birthday Daniel!!! Olivia had a blast playing at the park with her friends!

Unfortunately, we had to stay home from church on Sunday and take it easy due to Olivia's stuffy nose and sleepless night. But, we got some good time in taking it easy and watching football before the uncles had to head back home!

We had a great weekend Uncle Michael and Uncle Joey! Come back soon!

A Low Key Weekend...

Touring the Greek Cathedral....so interesting and beautiful, but definitely not the place for a 17 month old!

Olivia and Rush cheering for the Crimson Tide...neither one could take their eyes off the game for a pic!=)

We decided to hang around this weekend and enjoy not having anywhere to be or anything to get done. Friday night we took Olivia to the Hoover High football game. We were a little unsure of how long Olivia would last. However, not to much surprise, she was completely content in "people watching" until we left after half-time. I think Olivia and I knew more about what all the people passing by and around us were doing than what was actually going on with the game. She does get it honest.=)

Saturday we headed down to the Farmer's Market for some fresh produce and a few fall plants. For those of you who have never been you are missing out on a cultural experience...not to mention great fresh fruit and vegetables at great prices! After leaving the Farmer's Market we stopped by the Greek Food Festival for a yummy lunch!!

Of course, Saturday night Olivia got to cheer on the Crimson Tide with her Dad!=) He was quite proud of his team. And here we are on Sunday night preparing for another week ahead! It's amazing how the weekends can fly by!
